About Van Halen

The band was once called Mammoth in the mid 1970's and later renamed van halen after drummer and guitarist Eddie and Alex Van Halen.  David Lee Roth joined the band in 1974 until 1985.  Sammy Hagar joined the band from 1985 until 1996 because of his solo career.  in 1998 Gary Cherone from Extreme joined the band and left that next year.  Van Halen's first demo tape was recorded by Gene Simmons from Kiss in 1977.  Eddie van halen wanted to join kiss but Gene convinced him to stay with Van Halen.  Bassist Michael Anthony reportedly left the band in 2006 and only played 3 of the 12 tracks on the pitiful album "Van Halen III".  By far the DLR and Sammy Hagar were the greatest to ever enter the stage.  Same as the greatest Rock band Van Halen.

Why I Chose To Do This Website

I chose to do this website because other than The Beatles, Van Halen is my favorite band of all time.  I honestly do not listen to any of these new rock bands because none of them compare to Van Halen's sound.  By far, Eddie Van Halen is the greatest guitar player alive and always will be.
